Color Blocking v1

I got this yellow skirt from Charlotte Russe last summer in San Diego. I was unsure how I was supposed to wear a mustard colored pencil skirt and so it was rotting in my closet for awhile. I decided to finally be bold and just wear it with even MORE color seeming that I'm LOVING the colorblocking trend. Which is really odd because one thing about me that changed after moving back home from San Diego is my style; I love color now. I used to be all about the edgy, Paris-like sleek, urban black black black look but now I love color and wonder why I lived the last few years in a black hole! It probably is the location of Southern California that made me realize I love wearing coral, pink, orange, yellow, etc! Anyhow, here are the two times I've worn my mustard yellow skirt. & I love the color mustard yellow.
Blouse also from Charlotte Russe.

White blazer from Bloomingdales kids, pink blouse top from Agaci in Austin, TX, necklace from Forever21,  flats from H&M kids, and my lovely purple Marc Jacobs bag as always.

So much color in one outfit. Who woulda known I would ever like wearing pink?

Extraordinary Desserts - Sandy Loves Sandi pt 2!

hmm...thinkin of Duri? ㅋㅋㅋ

LOL we love our iphones! haha

Young's Dame Chocolat

My Frasier Triple Berry Tarte

Sandy's I don't even remember the name but it was SO EFFING GOOD.

YAY finally! I drove by this place everyday on the way and from work because it's literally one block from my work right at the "starting line" of Little Italy! The Dame Chocolat was extremely chocolat-ey like RICH... for chocolate lovers it's definitely worth it. My tarte was probably the least yummiest (sad). I was upset. But it was still really good. The side had like white chocolate shavings but it was so good and I think the bread dough had some sort of like liquid soaked in it like how tiramisu is made cuz it was very like spongey, but thick spongey... if that makes any sense haha. The white cream was surprisngly NOT overly sweet like Betty Crocker frosting at all haha. And last but not least, Sandy's choice was SO DELICIOUS. So the texture is like a croissant basically. A warm, buttery croissant with all sorts of yummy sweet goodness inside! It was seriously amazing the first bite but it can definitely get neukkihae after a couple of bites. But it's SO GOOD! I'm getting this next time I go. The interior was trendy and modern and the desserts change everyday so they don't have a set menu for the desserts you just have to look before you get seated and know what you want to order!

Before heading home... we decided to stop by the piers and found this lovely couple... :)

EL TACO GORDO SPICY PORK TACOS = HEAVEN IN MA MOUTH!
Sandy had 4, her sis and I had 3. I wish I could mail these tacos to everyone.

Off to Coronado Island!!
First the few snaps from my iphone

Yes, I am again wearing a shirt/top as a dress! Heehee. It's from forever 21 and I just wore a cami and shorts under it and wah-lah! Dress for Doreese!

Anyhow, Coronado Island is soooo beautiful! I must say though... I think Seattle skyline beats San Diego's, no? Anyhow...after frolicing and taking pictures we went off to...

Pacific Beach Sunset

My weekly dose of Morgan up in San Marcos! We went to Curry & More and I ordered the chicken tikka masala. It was pretty good but incomparable to Cedars or Taste of India in Seattle. The naan was not that crackin either. But my curry was still good nonetheless. Afterwards we went over to Sprouts across the street and did some light grocery shopping and then parted ways! We have soo much on our to-do list together I hope we can do them all LOL.

I also have my own must-go-to-beach-list in San Diego so I decided to stop by Pacific Beach before going home because it will still bright out. So glad I did because I saw the most gorgeous sunset ever! AND pb is soooo nice. I can't wait to go back in the day time and just tan and read a book!! Such a cute little beach town (what beach hasn't been a cute beach town here? lol) Lots of places to eat and little stores and people bicycling.... I love it. Anyways, if you know me, you know that I love beaches and I absolutely LOVE sunsets like one of my life goals is to see the sunset at Santorini, Greece. I've seen the sun set plenty of times in my life but I have NEVER seen it LITERALLY and physically go down SOOO quickly as I did last week at pb! It happened BEFORE MY EYES like in the span of 30 seconds.

It was stunning and I couldn't think of anything else except that God is truly the master artist. It's hard being away from home and everything I know but I'm really glad I stopped by here and had this amazing alone time with me and God. When I saw a group of friends taking pictures and laughing and having fun I started getting depressed and missing my friends. But seeing the amazingness of the sun setting quickly turned my homesickness into "I love this city" and reminded me that no matter where I go God is always by my side. I just wish everyone lived here haha. Here are the photos I took with my iphone...so sad I didn't have my dslr with me. Enjoy!

and now for the sun setting...

How great is our God?

So great. I am truly blessed.
